I’m Katie, a senior communication major and half of UPC’s awesome Concerts duo. I hail from New Jersey where I reside with my 3 sisters, 2 dogs, cat, and 4 chickens. I unabashedly love pancakes, hockey, Harry Styles, and UMass (#goU) with every fiber of my being. I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of UPC three years running and hope to plan some amazing concerts this year!
Hi my name is Lauren! You can also call me Lauren-Wop if you really like. I’m currently a junior with a double major in BDIC and Journalism. My BDIC concentration is Entertainment Management. I’m an out of state student from Stamford, Connecticut, born and raised. Other than UPC I am also the Editorial Director for the UMass Spoon University chapter.
Late Night Movie/UMass Night Out Coordinator
Hey guys! My name is Emma Forget and I’m a Junior studying Public Health here at UMass. I’ll be one of the UMNO Event Coordinators this year and can’t wait for all we have planned for everyone! I joined UPC last year and had an absolute blast with all the activities and events we put on! Along with UPC I’m also a part of the UMass club tennis team and the public health club. I look forward to this year and meeting/hanging out with everyone!
Late Night Movie/UMass Night Out Coordinator
Hi! I’m from Andover, Massachusetts and I am currently a junior at UMass. I’m a PoliSci major with an Education minor. I studied abroad in Rome last semester so I’m currently having pasta and pizza withdrawals but I’m very happy to have Berk Late Nights back in my life. I love 90s bands like Sugar Ray, but I also have a mini crush on Coldplay. My favorite desert is ice cream, which is fitting because I work at an ice cream shop back home. I’ve been with UPC for a year now and I’ve loved every minute! I get to work with awesome people and put on some amazing events. I’m wicked excited to be on the team this year!
Ayooo! Hey everyone! My name is Jeremy and I’m a local from Amherst, Massachusetts. I’m a junior here at UMass studying Computer Science and Marketing. I’m also the Public Relations Chair for my fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi. I spent this past summer interning in Washington, DC so if you see me dress up on occasion, it’s because I’m used to business attire in stupidly humid 90 degree weather. While my summer taking over DC has been an unforgettable experience, I miss Hamp, Blue Wall, and the liveliness of everything UMass. I am a huge fan of EDM and hip-hop, and I blast my playlists in the UPC office all the time as I practically live there. This will be my third year working in marketing for UPC. It’s honestly been so much fun to work with these talented and hilarious people every day. Every year there’s always new events to plan and the best part is that we’re always trying to amp it up–how to top previous years. I’m super pumped for what’s to come, so don’t miss out on what we got in store for you all!
Hello! My name Shirrin and I’m from Haiti. I am a senior at UMASS and I have an associate’s in graphic design but am currently studying psychology in the hopes of becoming an art therapist. I am one of the marketing coordinators in UPC. I heard about UPC from a friend and joined the first semester I transferred to UMASS as a general body member. I decided to join the marketing team in the hopes of spreading the word about the amazing events we organize. Being a part of UPC has really been an eye opening experience. So much effort and detail goes into event planning and I’m grateful for the experience and knowledge I’m getting.
Performing Arts Coordinator
My name is Gabi Fishkind and I am a Performing Arts Event Coordinator for UPC. While I am now a senior at UMass, I have been a member of UPC since my freshman year, and an event coordinator for the past 6 semesters. I am working towards completing a dual degree major with a Bachelors Degree in an Individual Concentration in Behavioral Marketing and Consumer Behavior, as well as Communication and a minor in psychology. Outside of UMass I love to travel, go hiking, and and go to the beach with my friends!
Performing Arts Coordinator
My name is Julia Barrett. I’m a Junior Hospitality and Tourism Management major at UMass and I am from Wakefield, MA. I joined UPC because I wanted to get involved and have memorable and meaningful experiences at UMass. As a Hospitality major, I love organizing and planning events and I am able to exercise this passion through UPC. I am really excited to be an EC this semester to come up with some creative events that students can enjoy! Go UPC!
Social Event Coordinator
I’m Lizzie Ponce, one of your Social Event Coordinators! I hail from Westfield, New Jersey and I am now in my junior year at UMass studying as a BDIC student with a concentration in Fashion & Art Journalism. After coming out to and loving UPC events throughout my freshman year, I decided I HAD to join the group my sophomore year. I immediately fell in love with the enthusiasm and humor and readiness that UPC members brought to every meeting and every event. Joining the UPC family was definitely one of my best moves.
I’m a Senior double majoring in Marketing, in the Isenberg School of Management, and Entertainment Management, in the BDIC Program. Last year, as a Speakers EC, I brought UMass Alum, Jeff Corwin to campus as the Homecoming Speaker. I have been an active member of UPC since sophomore year, helping with video editing and marketing. Outside of UPC, I’m the Co-President of Jewish Leaders in Business (JLB) and a member of the stand-up comedy group Folks With Jokes. In his free time, Harrison enjoys searching for new music, spreading joy by making funny faces, and dancing like everybody is watching.
I’m Shelley, a junior sport management major from Rehoboth, MA. I enjoy stalking cute puppies and pretending I own them, taking long walks on a crowded beach and wishing I was in the shade, and listening to Seth Rogen’s laugh. My career goal is to be in the entertainment industry, planning events like concerts, because I’m very interested in a career that is always changing and will provide me with excitement, challenges, and new experiences. I joined UPC spring semester of my sophomore year and it has been the perfect way for me to start those experiences.
Special Events Coordinator
Hey UMass! My name is Emily Xarras and I’m a Senior Hospitality and Tourism Management major from Westminster, Massachusetts. This year I am the Special Events Coordinator but have worked as a Performing Arts and Concerts EC as a sophomore and junior respectively. Returning from a semester abroad in Florence, Italy and a summer interning on Nantucket, I am both excited and ready to reunite with my UPC family, one of my favorite things about UMass. I joined UPC my freshman year because I wanted to get involved and loved the idea of creating something new and fun for other students to enjoy. UPC provided not only that but also one of the best networks of friends and connections I could have asked for at UMass! (So swing through for a general body meeting, I promise you won’t regret it!)
My name is Brandon Kittredge. I am a senior at UMass and I study Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry. I am currently one of the UPC Production Specialists and I joined UPC because some friends of mine joined my freshman year and I wanted to be part of a student organization that has fun but also has an impact at UMass.
I am a junior majoring in Communication with a minor in Film Studies. Additionally, I am an amateur filmmaker/photographer from Southwick, Massachusetts. I have been a member of UPC since my freshman year, but this will be my first year as a Production Specialist. Through being a member of UPC, I directed and shot the promotional videos for the past two Spring Concerts and I ended up meeting Hoodie Allen while I was wearing a dinosaur costume. My interests include film, photography, music, Chipotle, making terrible jokes, and harassing my friends. I can ride a unicycle and I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.
Carson Sperry, Junior, from Guilford, CT BCT (Building and Construction Technology major). In my free time I enjoy watching movies with fellow UPC member Ben and I am a member of the Mens’ Rowing team which occupies most of my other time. I have been a member of UPC for my full 2 years so far and am excited to finally have a position that will allow me to help the club more and further my involvement in planning and decision making.
